Advantages of using Vibra-Stop Backing
Pads

reduction - nothing else comes close!
- Excellent memory retention - will not
compress over a period of time resulting in a loss of clamping
force between the outboard engine and the boat.
- Excellent UV properties - won't break
down in the sun.
- Won't absorb water, resulting in
swelling of material.
- Quick and easy to install
The backing pads can be
purchased separately and will also help to reduce resonance and
vibration, although obviously not as much as the Vibra-Stop Bush Kit
would. This is due to the fact that when you have a bolt
contacting on the edge of the transom, it can transmit a lot of
vibration - especially on acceleration and when the engine is
loading and unloading in rough sea conditions.
When fitting just the backing
pads, it is recommended that a key set be fitted to outboard engines
150HP and above on outboard engines with slots for the bottom
mounting bolts. |
