If you are looking to install the bush kits yourself, you will need to have aluminium welding capabilities as the four aluminium tubes need to be welded into the transom of your boat at the right hole centres for your outboard.

Alternatively, a number of boat manufacturers and engine outfitters around the country have now installed the Vibra-Stop Bush Kits.  Click on the following button for a dealer near you.

The following photographs give you an idea of how the installation process takes place when installing the Vibra-Stop Bush Kit.  Click on the photograph for a larger view.

The aluminium tubes are welded into the back of the transom. The stepped bush pushes through the transom. The stainless steel cup washer retains the front of the bush with the bolt. The backing pads go between the boat and the motor.

The backing pads are premoulded to fit all outboard engines and will also help to reduce resonance and vibration.  These pads are very quick and easy to install and can be done without professional assistance.

Simply remove your engine, place the backing pads into the correct position and then rebolt your engine on again.

For outboard engines 150HP and above with slots for the bottom mounting bolts instead of holes, it is advisable that the anodised aluminium keys be installed to ensure even loading on all four mounting bolts.
