These two photos show an essential part of the Vibra-Stop Bush Kit for engines over 150 HP that have slots instead of holes for the bottom mounting bolts. Photo 1 shows a key set for a Honda outboard engine.

Depending on the mounting position for the engine, any two of these keys are selected to take up the slot so that the engine is supported on four bolts rather than two. This also saves on double bolting the top mounting holes.

Photo 2 shows a key in the bottom slot of a Yamaha 225 HP Four Stroke. This ensures even loading on all four mounting bolts.

When ordering the Vibra-Stop Bush Kit it is essential to specify the outboard engine that the kit is being installed on so these keys can be supplied in the kit. These keys apply to Yamaha, Johnson, Evinrude and Honda outboards with slots for the bottom mounting bolts rather than holes. Honda key sets come with six keys as there are five bolt holes. Yamaha, Johnson, and Evinrude come with four keys, only two keys are used depending on the engine mounting height.
